What We Believe

At our church, we believe in the one true God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is both the Creator of all things and the sustaining power of life. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is both fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people, dying on the cross and rising from the dead after three days to conquer sin and death. We believe in His return to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we find the path to salvation and eternal life (Genesis 1:1, 26; Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-5; I Corinthians 15:3-4).

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, empowering them to live victoriously in Christ, providing guidance, understanding, and strength. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are active today and available to all believers, equipping us for service and spiritual growth. Our daily goal is to live under the Holy Spirit’s guidance and seek His filling to be more like Christ (John 16:7-13; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25).

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, written by human authors under the direction of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for our Christian faith and practice. The Old Testament lays the foundation for the coming of the Messiah, and the New Testament reveals God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is as relevant today as when it was first written, and it provides the ultimate guide for how we live, worship, and grow in our relationship with God (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:160). We believe that all people are created in the image of God, making each individual valuable and unique. However, because of sin, all are separated from God and in need of salvation. Sin is the attitude of disobedience that separates us from God, and we can do nothing to fix this broken relationship on our own. Salvation is a free gift from God, offered to us through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that by trusting in Jesus and turning from our sinful ways, we are forgiven and given eternal life. We believe that eternal life begins the moment we receive Christ and continues forever, either in eternal union with God in Heaven or in separation from Him in hell (Romans 3:23; John 14:6; Revelation 20:15).
